"Synesthesia" is a collection that reflects the unique, sensory experience of synesthesia, a condition where the stimulation of one sense triggers an involuntary experience in another. For some, this means seeing colors when hearing music, or perceiving letters and numbers as specific colors. In my experience, the days of the week each held a distinct color, a personal phenomenon that shaped the visual language of this work. Using woven cotton gauze as a key material, I created layers that mirror the vivid hues and textures of those days. The gauze creates texture that captures the depth and richness of each day’s color, translating the intangible nature of time into a physical form.
